I am breast feeding and was really looking forward to my time without periods. I hate bleeding. The doctor gave me the progesterone only pill to take. I hadn't wanted to as previously it had just made me bleed but she said the breastfeeding should prevent that happening and would give me a chance to get over that bit. However have taken it for a week and started really heavy bleeding. Just lots of very red blood and it is much heavier than any period I have had. I have stopped taking it but how long will it take for the bleeding to stop does anyone know? It also gives me a lot of pain. I know it sounds dramatic worrying about this and I know women bleed but I am also struggling with PND and the bleeding makes me feel even lower.
