First period after coil fitting help

Hi looking for some advice please as feeling a little worried

Got my first coil (mirena) inserted on 15th March, was told to expect cramps/ light bleeding which i did have for a few days and all eased up, but got my first period since on 4th May and it is still ongoing, I normally only have short 3-4 day periods but i'm starting to get worried that this has been going on for 15 days the bleeding is very light but still worrying. Can anyone tell me if they have had similar and is it normal ?

I spotted daily for 6 months...

You need to give it a couple of months to settle down. I wouldn’t be worried yet. I had odd spotting at random times for at least 3 months.

Yeah, dribbles on for ages at first. No periods since, yay! Worth hanging in there.

Best thing ever for me! (Very experienced Dr who fitted it says everyone is different, so ymmv.)

It will take a while to settle down.

Thanks all, feeling a little more at ease now. I just over analyse everything and get worked up over silly things So I am feeling better that it seems to be the ok for spotting/ bleeding to last longer than normal.
