Mirena Coil.... random bleeding?!?

So, I had the mirena fitted September 2017 (approx. 8 months) no problems, very slight spotting when fitted and absolutely no bleeding since then.
I went on holiday abroad last week and had really random bleeding? A very small amount for not even a whole day (more like spotting I guess?) and that was it? And some old blood yesterday. Should it be something to be concerned about? Should I pop to the doctors?
any advice please or similar experiences??

I think it's completely normal to have the occasional period with a Mirena. I wouldn't worry unless it was continuous or more than once a month.

If you’ve no pain it shouldn’t be anything bad. The lining of the womb can be thinning itself for months.

Is your smear up to date? The only time I have bleeding and spotting with the mirena was when I had abnormal cervical cells found after my smear.
