Hi everyone sorry for the long post I just feel I need some advice!
Let me explain the background to what I need help on and tell you about our first "pregnancy scare" earlier this year.
This is what happened my girlfriend and I had protected sex on the 26th January using a condom, after ejaculation she was "getting off me" and as she got up the condom slipped off I however pulled it out of her, when I did this the semen leaked on my leg. As she was on top of me (due to gravity) all the semen fell on my leg, she was far away from me at this point. At the time I was 98% confident no semen had gone near her.
We didn't want to take any risks so she took ellaone morning after pill which was less than 12 hours later. Approx 8 days after sex we did a pregnancy test which was negative. She usually as her period around the 17th of the month, she was 14 days late and had no other side effects
I was pretty sure she wasn't pregnant as:
We used a condom during sex that did not break (it slipped but I am 90% sure all the semen remained in the condom)
Her last period was on the 16th Jan and we had sex on the 26th, she has a 30 day cycle so according to online fertility checker she was not very fertile at this point.
She took Ellaone Map within 12 hours of us having sex
She had no other side effects apart from not having her period yet.
This is the first time she has ever taken anytime of birth control pill, I spoke to the doctor on the phone and he said he is very sure she is not pregnant and this is just a normal side effect of MAP. When we spoke to the pharmacist he was also pretty sure she wasn't pregnant and said taking MAP would be optional in his view. I am pretty sure she has also had a blood test after this event.

That was the background so she finally had her period a few days after the incident. Her period came again in March and in April and they both came within the first week of the month which was different when she originally had them around the middle of the month due to MAP? She has had no pregnancy symptoms.
It's now May and her period is late by approx 6 days. We have been having sex using condoms only (which have been successful for over 18 months) and I have been super careful since January. My girlfriend has also now started to track her periods on her phone as she does not want to take any contraceptive pills again.
We use a condom straight away and I thoroughly check the condom after sex...this involves.
- Cleaning the condom to remove her fluid
- Taking the condom off slowly in the bathroom and tying it up.
- Squeezing it with my fingers to check for leakage (2-3 times)
- Squeezing it between toilet paper (7-10 times) to check for any leaks
- Laying the condom out on the bathroom counter and squeezing it one further time with toilet paper to confirm no leaks.
I know it may seem silly, but I do this every time after sex for peace of mind for both of us.
I have spoken to a few doctors and they have advised me that "ellaone" can cause her have to an irregular cycle for a few months. When I think of all the times that we have had sex during April at no point did I have any cause for concern with any of condoms after I tested them they were all okay!
We are going to a do PG test today and are super scared!!
I am just looking for some support :(
