A month to take out mirena coil

Here in the uk, finally plucked up the courage to have number 2, was told Friday is a quick appointment to get the coil out and could get appointment within the week, phoned today expecting to get appointment, it's a 5 week wait. Sort of gutted as wanted to get it out sooner, anyone know how I can get it sorted quicker? This is with my gp, will family planning clinics take them out?

Try your local sexual health clinic/family planning clinic. My GP surgery will only check them, they don't insert/remove so I had to use the local sexual health service
