Mirena coil.... only 1 string?!?

Hope someone can give me some reassurance!

Had the Mirena fitted in September 2017, all went well, I now check the strings about once a month to make sure they’re still there and there has ALWAYS been 2 strings.

Checked this morning and I am certain there is only one string!!! I’ve read about them being intertwined, but I am pretty sure that is not the case, doesn’t feel like that, nor can I find two ‘ends’!

Should I be worried? I am obviously not concerned about it having gone missing, more so moved place or dislodged? Making it ineffective or am I just being over cautious??

I think if you definitely can’t feel both strings you should get it checked. Give it a day or so and check again, if it’s stukl only one get it looked at. This has reminded me I need to check mine.
