Post-Nexplanon Worries

So in September 2015 I had Nexplanon inserted and it was all fine up until summer 2016. It started to get very tender and messed my cycle about to no end. I tried to get it removed but doctors/nurses/sexual health workers all denied me and I had to keep trying and trying. Eventually I was able to get it removed 14th August 2017.

Ever since coming off I have maybe had two or three proper periods, fairly heavy, but nothing unmanageable. My partner and I aren't outright TTC but we haven't been being careful at all as we would be thrilled if we had a child. During this time I've had a couple of instances where I thought I was pregnant but took tests and confirmed that I wasn't. Just a little bit weird cause I know my body and they're not period symptoms - but definitely NOT pregnant.

Just wondering if anyone else has had anything similar? Any weird post-Nexplanon happenings/struggling to conceive after Nexplanon, etc. Would be great to hear other people's experiences.

I didn’t have a period for 3years after coming off it and now they are every 7or 8 months. They were regular before I had it (implanon). I think they are the same. Im sort of at peace with the fact it might just not happen now. I know a few other people who have struggled after having it removed. You could go to your doctor though. I’m sure they would be offer some help if your sure it’s what you want.

I have had the implant since 2012 till yesterday during this time I've had severe acne, serious weight loss and then serious weight gain and zero periods. I'm hoping having it removed will help my body go back to some normality I've woke up this morning feeling tired and with a headache but hoping this isn't a sign of things to come did anyone have any long lasting effects? The whole point of me having this removed is with a view to starting a family
