So prior to my dd I was on the pill for about 10 years. It gave me migraines, I never really realised that's what it was until I was pregnant. After my dd I had a merina and on the surface of it I loved it, no periods no pains etc. I also had the added contraception of ebf, but when I stopped breastfeeding I started getting mood swings, namely I was super angry. Like red rag to a bull madness. After one particularly bad episode i got it removed because I was sure it was mirena related and went in the mini pill. it's been great, no side effects at all (which is odd because there's more hormone than merina) and I've only once forgotten it in over a year. I'm going to have another child soon. This will be our last. We really don't want any more. So I'm at a loss what to do after. The mini pill has been good but I worry about reliability long term and remembering especially when I have 2 kids as an accident wouldn't be welcome.
DH won't get snipped.
I thought of the copper coil but I like no periods and I hear they can make them heavy.
Is it worth trying the merina again? Or will it be the same as it was last time?
Can you have the copper coil and the mini pill? Any other suggestions?

I was on the implant and combined pill at the same time (so double dose of hormones). I don’t see why you couldn’t do the mini pill and coil but I’m not a dr so best to ask. If it would work for you and give you peace of mind I personally would go with that though

If you were alright with the mini pill would the implant not work for you though ? It would be pretty reliable although it’s only 3 years ...

Could your DP get the snip? Sounds like you're trying lots of different contraception options and struggling with side effects - maybe over to him now?
