This will be longSmileWine

November 2016 I went off the depo after being on it for about 2 1/2 years, I didn't have my period while I was on it.

I had my first period at the start ofJanuary, next one wasn't until end of February, then I didn't have another one until April. They were every 2 weeks for about 1 1/2 months then I started having them every 1 1/2 weeks for about 2 months then they went back to every 2 weeks until about 2 months ago where I started getting them every 3 weeks.
They are usually pretty light with every 3rd one being heavyish.
About every 2 months I would miss one.
Over time they have started to get heavier and more painful. The last 4/5 periods have been really heavy and painful. ( needing to wear a pad and tampon and change them every 1-2 hours)

Around September/ October I started having ovulation pains/ noticing them. these have also been getting worse. My groin and abdomen always feel tender. I get a lot of cramps every time I ovulate but they can last up to 4/5 days. About a month ago I stood up and collapsed/ fell over when I got a sharp stabbing pain in my right side.

I started my period yesterday but was having period cramps for about 4 days before it started. I usually get my period 12-24 hrs after the cramping starts. At lunch I started getting really bad cramps that got worse quickly. I took 1 panadol at 1pm which did nothing, by 1:30pm it was a lot worse so I took a Tramadol which did nothing. I couldn't sit/ stand upright and felt like I couldn't breathe. The pain was in my groin/lower abdomen (bellybutton down) it started going to my right hip / side so I thought it was my appendix. After 2 hours it subsided pretty quickly and I feel asleep from the painkillers. I've only had mild cramps since them. It's also been really heavy.

Does anyone know what it could of been? I'm starting to get worried.

Progesterone only methods can cause ovarian cysts if used for a long time. Of course I’m not a dr but it sounds very similar. Could it maybe be worth speaking to your dr about this if you are collapsing now ? Are you using anything for contraception now or are you ttc ? A new contraception method could cause this sort of stuff too. Defo go to the dr and discuss this if it’s getting worse though!

Ok thanks.
I'm not ttc but I'm not on birth control either Shock
