Mirena Threads?

I had the Mirena fitted two weeks ago. I had it done under general anaesthetic as I was having a couple of biopsies done at the same time. I have had it fitted to help with heavy periods.
I bled lightly for first few days and a little 'spotting'. I've just had a five day period and it was lighter than usual, but I am still spotting now.
My worry is I can't feel the threads!? After I came round from the GA I was just sent home with a tiny booklet/pamphlet about the Mirena. I didn't know I was supposed to check for threads even as no one mentioned it? I'm not due to see my consultant for three months for a checkup either.
I'm wondering if they've cut the threads really short and I don't need to check as it's not for contraception (but how would you know if it's dislodged or perforated?).
Also, tbh, I don't really know what mom feeling for, but I can't feel anything like threads, lol?
Should I see my dr or wait until I see the consultant as I didn't have it done at Drs?

I had the Mirena inserted in September. I was told to check the threads monthly. A month after having it in, I couldn’t feel them. Anyway, I had a check booked a couple weeks later (I believe it’s routine to have a check a month or two after having one). It was still in place where it should be, but the strings were really short and tucked away!

That was my second Mirena. With my first one, I was never told to check it. I had it for three years and I never checked once! 🙈

The threads on mine disappeared after a few weeks and I had an ultrasound scan to check it was still in (it was)

It's still there nearly 9 years later and I'm waiting for a gyne appt to find out how on earth we get it out...

They tend to tuck the threads away so partners cant feel them,
