Condoms

Think this is my only option though they do seem really unromantic and kills off all spontaneity.

If you use condoms as only contraceptive, do you still avoid fertile days incase it splits?

Yes definitely avoid the fertile days for the splitting risk.

I used condoms only for five years and I have terribly irregular cycles (maybe 1 period every 8months at best) so I couldn’t even tell you when my fertile days were. I always used them and never actually had any splits/condoms fall off. Could you maybe use a diaphragm too though if you are really worried ? They are available on the NHS now and really easy to use, hope this helps

I'm relatively regular I suppose, 22-29 day cycles
