Did something stupid - now worried!

Well I really should know better but I had a few too many drinks, and took a little bit of ecstasy. Half a tablet.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and I find out I'm pregnant.

I've worked it out and I must have conceived 7-9 days before taking the E and drinking. I can be this exact as my husband's work patterns have meant that that's the only period of time we had sex this month. No other drink or drugs since then.

Pregnancy was obviously unplanned but very much wanted. Of course I will be talking to my doctor/ midwife about this but just wanted to see if anyone on here has any medical knowledge and can tell me how worried I should be about this?

Placenta wouldn’t have formed so no risk to feotus. However you don’t sound nearly mature enough to be a mother.

What a nasty response. Talk to midwife. Be open and honest. Is the drug taking regular? Or as you say something stupid you did.

God no, def not regular! Haven't done anything like that in over a decade. I barely even drink really. I'm 32 so pretty mature! Just had a moment of madness at a friend's 30th. Obviously regret it now. I don't have any concerns over my ability to be a mother - that comment was very harsh for someone you don't know!! I'm just stewing over this until I can see a doctor. Thank you for responses!

It transpires that I was on my hen do when pregnant with a planned DD.

I was not OK 😂

After extensive panicking and ogling it turns out that the placenta hasn't form and they're not 'attached' to us yet. So you should be absolutely fine.

Congratulations! Hope your night out was good. I had to reminisce about my Hen do for a long long time.

I'd be worried too, like you, because it's a totally normal response. You already love and want the best for this little one and you clearly regret doing what you very obviously won't be doing again (at least during pregnancy). But seriously, your little one will be fine. Congratulations!!!

My first was conceived after a night of cocaine, didn't take recreational drugs for years then took an E at a friends 40th, two weeks later found out I was pregnant with number 2 . Both kids are perfectly okay, very clever, funny and empathetic actually

Friend took ecstasy at 8 weeks or so pregnant. She didn't find out until 10 weeks. Her child is perfect. You'll be fine.

We were planning on starting trying for a baby in a few months anyway but wanted a work thing out of the way first - but you know what it's like, as soon as I saw that 2nd line nothing else mattered. Same. We've been TTC and I've cut caffeine etc out.
I've never felt like doing drugs for fun.

Either way OP you'll probably be fine
