NIGHTMARE COMING OFF DEPO INJECTION

Hi, I'm 25 and Iv been on the injection near 5 years now. But in the last year Iv been on and off the injection due to unexplainable bleeding down below that went on for about 14 weeks. I didn't take the injection during and after all the examinations of finding out why I was bleeding.. to say I didn't bleed for the entire time I was on the injection. They eventually put it down to hormones. But as I was discharged from the hospital because it had stopped. A few weeks later I started bleeding again so Iv stopped the injection again and this time I ain't going back on it. As I think it's messing with my hormones etc. Iv been off the injection now about 2 months and since then Iv bled on and off, Iv had very sore boobs, I'm moody, Iv had stomach cramps, irritation, tired constantly, nausea in the morning. I'm having a nightmare with it all. Can I ask.. is anyone else experiencing any of these symptoms coming off the depo???

I am having similar. I went on the injection in October after having a baby. And bled for 10 weeks solid varying from heavy to spotting. I then had a 2 weeks clear where I decided I would not get another shot. And my shot would of been due the week commencing 2nd January and I have bled ever since heavy. So now unsure what to do. I certainly won't be going back on the injection and fingers tightly crossed I stop bleeding x

I bled all the time with it and gave up after my second one. You aren't supposed to take it for more than 2 years at a time as it can affect bone density. It can take up to a year or more to get back to normal fertility too. Hope your bleeding stops soon

Hi would like to share my experience of coming off depo. I was on the horrible injection for just over a year( I have 4 children already 3 girls and a boy so decided I would like to try for another boy so I was meant to go for my jab 11th of August 2017 but didn’t go for it so straight away started to get pregnant symptoms (spent hundreds on hpt) but nothing so come November had a lil bit of pink discharge that lasted literally hours then 30th December 2017 had what seemed like a normal 5 day period but very light then 11th January 5 days of another very light period then 29 days later 9th February 2017 had a proper period and I ovulated yesterday on 24th February I know cos had the egg white mucus 3 days prior to ovulation and positive opks and felt myself ovulate aswell last night sharp pain in left overy so hopefully I got my baby last night now gotta wait 2 weeks to see if conception took place but all in all it took me 7 months to start a normal cycle
