Hi all, I've had the nexplanon implant since the 24th of July, in the last few days I've had some spotting a couple of times a day which I understand is normal but I've basically had some cramping on and off since I had it fitted. They're not overly painful just down right irritating. They sort of flare up and then disappear. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm a tad concerned they've been going on for so long.

I've experienced the same. Mine got worse over time but everyone reacts differently.

They've been horrible the last two days and still no bleeding. Have you still got the implant in? Have you had anything that helps?

I bled (spotting) pretty much constantly for pretty much the 3 years I had it in, and struggled to get it taken out.

My own fault leaving it in so long when it was causing me issues though, couldn't get ever get an appointment at a time I could go.

@Flo321 I don't have it in anymore. Unfortunately the only thing that worked for me was otc cocodamol before going onto prescription stuff then that stopped working after a while.
As I said though, everyone is different.

You could try a hot bath, hot water bottle, heat pads, mild exercise, ibuprofen, all the usual pain relievers.
