What does it mean if skipping a period didn't work? (On cilest)

I've been taking cilest since about April. Decided to run two packs together so I didn't have a period on holiday. What actually happened is that it delayed it by two weeks, so I started bleeding when I was about half way through the second pack. That was 8 days ago and I'm still bleeding now, I'll be taking the last pill from this pack on Sunday so will be due my 'proper period' next week.

Does this mean it's not the right pill for me? I don't really understand why I would start bleeding mid way like that - I've not had any other mid cycle bleeding. I have posted previously about how when I do have my breakthrough bleed on this pill I have about 5 days of bleeding, then it stops completely for a couple of days, then I have another day or two of bleeding. Not sure if that is connected in some way.....

Thank you!

I know this post is a few days old though but I had very similar problems with Cilest. I ran two packs together and I bled for three weeks starting half way through the second pack.

I didn't do it that but ran packs of other brand pills together with no problem so maybe it's common with Cilest?

I ended up on another pill - Marvelon. I've Actually just stopped taking that because of the awful mood swings I seem to have on t.

Now going for the Coil.

Joys of being a woman aye?
