I'm a 46-year-old lady, and wondering if you can help me ? I've been on Marvelon for over 20 years, with no problems regular periods etc, however this month when I took my usual break from the pill my period didn't come. This the first time in 20 years this is happened so I took a pregnancy test which was negative. I thought nothing more of it. I'm now on my 8th pill of a new pack and this morning I have breakthrough bleeding, this is first time I have ever had this. Should I be worried i've called the doctor and she has said that it might be my age and a fluctuation in hormones, anyone here have any similar experiences? I'm really worried and concerned ?
