Which mini pill? Please help.

I can't take the combined pill, I hated the Mirena and there's no way I'll do the copper coil.

I really really dislike the idea of continued/irregular bleeding which so many mini pills seem to do. Which one makes cycles the most regular?

Cerazette stops my period completely but doesn't do it for everyone

Cerazette had me bleeding every day since January. Came off it 2 weeks ago as I had an ablation done. GP told me to give it 6 months to settle but it had 8 months and 6 of those were daily bleeding.

Is there a mini pill that contains norethisterone?

Norethisterone is what they give to delay periods, right? So I presume a mini pill with the same active ingredient will also limit periods?

It's a completely different dose so I wouldn't rely on it stopping/limiting them. As I said Micronor gave me periods every 2 weeks so it can give erratic periods and breakthrough bleeding

Cerelle stopped me from having periods completely for 3 years. However in the last few months I started bleeding every 2 weeks. I stopped taking it 3 weeks ago and am waiting for my cycle to return to "normal".

I have realised that in the last fortnight my libido has really picked up. I didn't think it was that low but I was wrong, looking back what I thought was tIredness was a low libido.

Noriday contains norestherine

I get on very well with Noriday but everyone is different. I haven't had a proper period for months, just a light bleed for a day or so every few months.

Cerelle didn't agree with me at all.

Cerelle/Cerazette have a 12 hour period of time before a pill becomes a missed pill however to get the best bleeding pattern for you it's advisable to take it at the same day every day. Other mini pills only have a 3 hour window.

In terms of bleeding patterns unfortunately it's a case of trialling and finding out how you respond. For some women it's brilliant but for others the bleeding pattern is unacceptable.

I had Cerazette as a trial for the implant. Cerazette is easy to take as others have said, and it slowed down my periods, then the implant slowed them a lot more (so same frequency but vvvv light).

I was on off for a few years with various mini pills never had any periods at all on them bar the odd spotting day every few months. Word of warning this was the only benefit other than the obvious . I had zilch sex drive and got really down a few months after starting it to the point where I had suicidal thoughts . If you google it there are a lot of women who have had this too. More so than on the combined

Cerazette was the worst for me - constant bleeding, breast pain, moods etc. Micronor and Norgeston both caused bi-monthy periods. Currently have the mirena and am regretting it. Periods seem be fewer but am pretty much in pain with most of the time. Weight gain has gone through the roof.
