Sent for ultrasound ..advice please

I've been sent for a ultrasound at a hospital that is 1hr 15 min on public transport,I don't drive.
On the letter my local hospital is listed as one of the ones that provide ultrasounds but they've sent me for one miles away.
Do you think il be able to ring and change my apt to another hospital?
The apt is for 8.30 so I couldn't get over in time
I'm worried now.

Yes I woukd ring and ask them if it can be changed to a closer unit. I have done that for one of my medical appointments as we have a hospital in our town but my appointment was made for a hospital that was miles away

Do you have access to Choose and Book? If so you can change it yourself online. If not give the appts team a call and they can change it for you, but be aware the wait at your local hospital may be far longer.

we do have choose and book but this didn't give me the option of choosing anywhere else.
My local hospital is only 5 mins away so obviously I would prefer to go there.
I thought maybe our hospital had a waiting list but tbh I would feel more comfortable waiting and going there.
