Sterilisation waiting time

Hi I'm going to the Drs next week to ask to be referred for sterilisation. Just wondering how long the wait is? I know it differs from county to county but just trying to get a rough estimate. Thanks

The wait in my area Sandwell/Birmingham has been 5months on the list. But the process in getting on the list was a nitemare. It took 5 years of asking and 2 knock backs from a consultant.

I'm in Bucks. I met the consultant end of May and had the op in September

I'm in Liverpool, having a c section in September and they are happy for me to have it during the op x

My husband booked his, 6 week waiting list. Xx

not long, about 6 months from talking to the gp to having the operation. I had no problems convincing either my gp or the doctor at the hospital, I just made it clear why I wanted to have it done and why other forms of contreception weren't what I wanted.
