Copper coil and cramping

So, I had the copper coil fitted around a month ago. Obviously there was the initial bleeding and cramping but it eased off. Now for the last week or so I've had a dull ache and cramping, almost like a pressure, like when your jeans are too tight when you've got period pains. I'm just wondering how long after insertion did people get aching and cramping and does this sound normal? I've not had any signs of infection and I've not bled for over a week, so do you maybe think I'm due to start a period or if it's a normal pain associated with the coil?

I'm probably the worst person to reply to this, but I've just had my coil removed after 12months of terrible pain and cramps! I think that they usually say that it will take several months for everything to settle down. There can be cramps around ovulation. Do you know when your next period is due?
