Period with Nexplanon Implant, ever gonna end??

I got the implant at the end of March, all going great and no periods for about 6 weeks. Then last Monday I got spotting, thought it was maybe my period but then that came properly on Friday and it's still coming. Pre implant would usually last 3 days, now nearly onto day 6 with plus 5 days of spotting before that and no sign of it letting up.

Was hoping I'd have no periods. What experience have you guys had with this? is this period ever going to end? To top it off I was dtd on Friday night when it appeared, queue a horrified lover.

I've had mine 2.5 years .. I'll go 2 months without anything and then have 2 heavy ones ( used to be v light before ) ... sigh they pedal it on the no periods but I don't know anyone who's had that xx

thanks Bluechairs. Are your 2 heavy ones a month apart? How long did it take to settle into a routine? I don't like the scariness of having no clue when AF might appear. I've got a few weekends away and don't want them all interrupted with this.

My periods were all over the place on the implant. Longest was 24 days long Generally though they were short (3 days) and very, very heavy, about every 50 days.
