I had this put in last November and am on the verge of having it removed. I bled for at least a month afterwards - not heavily but consistently. I've then had regular periods that are heavier than I used to and they seem to last ages. I also get cramps. This is getting no better at all. I'm due a check next month and may ask for them to remove it.
I'm on holiday tomorrow and my period has fucking turned up today. If I was on the pill I could have easily avoided this or it would have lasted two days and been light. Does this get better???
I was talked into this on the proviso it'd make my periods lighter or stop altogether: it's been a massive nuisance quite frankly. Plus I get pms which I also didn't get on the pill. I think getting my period the day before I go on holiday for a week and finally get some quality time with my fiancé who I've barely seen in three weeks has about finished me off!!
