Implant and itching

Hello
I've had the implant fitted 3 weeks ago. Had itching in the site where it was fitted which radiated to arm, back, chest, breasts, legs etc. It's now all over. It's up and down and piriton helps a little but it's so annoying. Will it get better?
I had the implant fitted 5 years ago with no issues but since then I have had two children.
Husband is working his way up to a vasectomy but in the meantime I don't want to take any risks. We've always used condoms which work well but since we've decided we don't want any more Children I don't want to take any risks!
Shall I get it removed? If so what's next for us?
Thanks

Watching with interest- I also had the implant 3 weeks ago, the area is very itchy and sore if touched/arm moves in a certain way and a purple mark has developed over the implant Confused
