pelvic infection after coil fitting

Anyone had an infection after coil fitting? Swabs were clear. 3 weeks of antibiotics and I'm still not right. Coil still in place though. GP Next week and I think I'll ask it's taken out. Anyone else has this and is ok now? It's horrid.

I was admitted to hospital with pelvic inflammatory disease having had the coil inserted. Was horrific! They took it out and I felt a bit better almost immediately. Seriously, have it removed.
