Ive been on Loestrin 20 for years i fell pregnant with my daughter in late teens early 20s was young and stupid and was on the pill but didn't take it regularly hence why i fell pregnant
Ive kept on schedule with it all these years and had a partner before my current bf
My question is will this pill stop me from getting pregnant as me and new bf have not long started seeing each other and last night got a bit wild
We did talk about protection but never used it in the heat of the moment
I ive took my pills for 7 days so far without a missed one took it first thing this morning too will i be protected

Reason asking is if ive had a relationship before while on them and nothing happend so im thinking this will be the same

There's information in the pack insert leaflet

www.medicines.org.uk/emc/PIL.3424.latest.pdf

Whether you are covered depends on when during your menstrual cycle you started taking the pill.

If you started on day 1 of your cycle you are protected immediately. Indeed starting up to or on day 5 and protection is immediate.

But starting on any later and you need additional precautions for the first 7 days.

By any chance are you on loestrin 20? My gp took me off it as apparently lots of people had got pregnant while taking it. They switched me over to loestrin 30.

I would say though that unless you've had a very upset tummy or have taken the pill at different times each day, your risk of getting pregnant should be very very low.
