I'm 33yo and am almost 14w pg with our third (and last) child. I'd appreciate some advice about long-term contraception after the baby is born.
I get migraines with aura and have reacted badly to the combined pill in the past, so I don't want to take anything that would affect migraines. I'm also asthmatic (don't know if that makes a difference?) I'd like to have something that limits or prevents PMS symptoms as I do get pretty bad PMS.
Of course, DH could have a vasectomy, but I'm a bit nervous asking him about this for some reason! We are totally committed to each other and have been together for 15 years. Even if he did have a vasectomy, I'd still like something to take the edge off my PMS.
I've thought about female sterilisation, but I don't know if it feels too final? I know it's very unlikely we would try for another baby, but I know female sterilisation is irreversible and don't feel comfortable about that, for a reason I can't quite put my finger on.
Anyway, and advice would be great! TIA
