Microgynon over 40?

Hi. I'm 39 and just starting back on microgynon.
Dr says it's OK to take until 50.
I'm just looking for some reassurance that but is OK to take!
I've tried over pills but I bleed almost continually. I can't have the coil either.
And Hubby won't consider having the snip!
