Mirena- just had it fitted and having cramps

For those of you who have the Mirena - I had it fitted yesterday afternoon. The Dr warned that there may be some bleeding and cramping after. Am still having some cramping and wondered from your experience how long did this last? Thanks

I had mine fitted on a Saturday morning and cramped most of the weekend on and off. Not sure if that's normal.

I cramped on and off for about a week after having it put in.

Bad for about a week, occasional the week after.

One thing that really helped- you can get them from Boots (don't have to go over the counter; just on the shelves) and I'm desperately trying to remember what they're called but I was told they help relieve IBS symptoms but can also help with the mirena cramps.
