Just started cerazette, breakthrough bleed?

Started cerazette on Monday mid cycle, have started spotting today. By my calculations I was due to ovulate around Thursday, is it likely that this is just like a normal period but early due to the pill or am I likely to be unlucky with not suiting it? Previously on ovranette pill with no problem prior to Ds. After ds periods consist of spotting for a week then a 4-5 day period so spotting starting around 4-5 days after ovulation.

it stops ovulation in most women. Many also get no bleeding at all after the first month or so. Some bleed continually and don't suit it!

so unless there are immediate other side effects, give it a month and see what happens.

not sure if it is effective first month if started mid cycle, read instructions or check with person with medical degree.

Not noticed any other side effects, hopefully this is just a settling in bleed?

I started cerazette on the first day of bleeding and bled for 6 weeks, gave up on it then!

I have started back on cerazette after a couple of years break (as I had no reason to be on it). I have recently started in a new relationship and therefore it felt the right step for me to go back on the pill. I am on cerazette due to high blood pressure and my weight. When I was on it last time, my periods stopped almost instantly and I went years without a proper period which suited me well. I started this pill again on the first day of my period last week and the bleeding is ongoing. I really hope it stops in the next few days as it is so frustrating and meaning that intimacy with my partner is quite restricted (he is really supportive about this its me thats rather annoyed).

I understand- who wants to bleed all the time.

Just to add a little update, after bleeding quite heavily for a week it has now stopped and fingers crossed my body is accepting the pill in a positive way.

Great news! How many weeks did it take to settle for you?
