Thoughts about going back on the pill after a break

I came off the pill last May after being on it for about 8 years. Immediately, I started getting painful acne on my chin and heavier periods. The reason I came off of it was because I'd had a CIN 3 smear and had to undergo the LLETZ procedure. I'd read online that being on the pill long-term could have led to my cervical cells being altered, although my GP has said this isn't true.

I am sick of having bad skin (it's really affecting my confidence) so I am contemplating going back on the pill next month. Has anyone else come off the pill, had a break of around 9 months, then gone back on it? Would this be a good idea?

I went back on it but I'd had about 2 years off having babies. While I was off it my periods were horrendous. I went back on it to get some control over them to be honest. And it has been worth it.

Boobs went up a size though!
