Never posted on a forum before - thought this would be a good place to start as I read threads all the time!
I have recently (December) had a copper coil put in after being on the pill for many years. I was on Cerazette from the February prior to June and then Noriday from June to the date I had the coil put in. Both were progestogen only pills as I had to come off the combined pill (which I had been on for years) due to migraines. Whilst on the combined pill I had one period in the 10 months.
Since getting the copper coil I had what I assume to be a withdrawal bleed over xmas but since then I have been spotting more or less everyday but not enough to warrant using anything other a panty liner.
It's been 8 weeks now and I keep expecting the spotting to develop into a proper period, having heard that periods will be heavier, but it still is this same annoying spotting amount. I had mild period pain yesterday but today, still just spotting!
Has anyone else had anything similar? Or anyone know how long it takes for periods to come back after being on the progestogen only pill? I've read it can take 6 months for periods to settle down after coming off the combined pill but it's the continuous spotting (which my GP doesn't seem concerned about at all) which is getting on my nerves.
