Stopped taking Yasmin and confused about bleeding

Hi there, I am new to this and this is my first post so please be kind! Smile

Basically, I have been on some form of birth control for about 13 years and on Yasmin for the last 7.

This year (since January) I have had a few normal periods whilst on my 7 day breaks but mainly they have not been right. It's like I haven't actually been losing any blood but more like dark brown stuff? And not much of it either (sorry if TMI!)

I asked the doctor and she said it might just be the pill reacting to me weirdly and that it wouldn't hurt.

Anyway, I have stopped taking it now and this is my second week without it. In the first week I had my normal withdrawal bleed (although, again, no blood and just brown crap) and then it stopped. However, two days later I started losing brown crap/brown discharge and this has been going on for a few days.

Basically, I'm just wanting to know if it's normal?

Thank you! Smile

Sorry I don't know about Yasmin but the pill I was on my periods got lighter and lighter until they were barely there at all. The doctor said its only an artificial period you get with the pill so not to worry but I'm no expert really. The first time I stopped taking the pill I got pregnant straight away so had no proper period just the withdrawal bleed. The second time it took a few months so I got a period maybe 4 or 5 weeks later. Hopefully u will get a normal period soon. I think they say if its brown blood its old blood? Red is fresh. I'm sorry I know this didn't really help to reassure you and I'm not an expert.
