Level of risk of DVT?

I was prescribed microgynon a couple of months ago after I went to the doctors but never started taking it as I soon found out my DM hadn't been able to take it due to my DGM suffering from DVT. I have not been sexually active so haven't needed to be taking it so left it at that but after an early period last month I have realised I am going to be on my period for a music festival in a few weeks time. I have tried to get a GP appointment to either talk to my doctor about the risks or have norethisterone prescribed but the earliest I could get one for was after the festival, I also rang my local FPC but was told by the receptionist I would probably have to be referred onto my GP anyway. So my question is, do you think I am at a high risk of getting DVT? I only want to take the first 3 weeks of the pill then I will stop and go back to the GP but is this a stupidly dangerous idea?
