Having coil fitted whilst on period?

I have waited 7 weeks for this appt (9am tomorrow) and just been to loo & have come on my period. Will I have to reschedule?

No. I was advised when mine was fitted that it was preferable to have it fitted during your period...due to position of your cervix I think?

Thanks for reply, yep you're right it wasn't a problem but my cervix was too small anyway so have to go back for someone else to have a go
