Mirena coil side effects

I had my MC removed today and wanted to know if anybody else is the same?
I had it put in 6 months ago for heavy periods. Since then I have developed severe anxiety ( I am on antidepressants, beta blocker and sleeping tablets and receiving therapy)! I've never been like this before!
My eyes are out of focus - not blurry but as if I'm about to get a migraine constantly and I have vertigo symptoms. I have had blood tests and been back to dr but everything normal. I happened to google mirena coil symptoms and up came all my symptoms! I've felt like I've been going mad. I'm hoping these symptoms will now go! Has anybody else experienced these and if so how long until I'm feeling better? Like many others I read the info leaflet after insertion!

i've not experienced any negative side effects from mirena so can't help much there. have you discussed trying the copper coil with your gp? that might be a better alternative as it does not contain hormones though you will still get periods.

Yes, as far as my body is concerned the Mirena is the work of the devil. I also had horrendous side effects - blurry vision, proper (excruciating) migraines. Not to mention the months-on-end of heavy bleeding and cramps. Happy to tell you that all disappeared within 48 hours of removal. Hope you feel better soon!

Thankyou! It's now been 3 days since removal and today I feel my head is clearing! I'm just hoping it carries on and I've solved the problem!!!

I know this is a very old thread but so much of this sounds like what's going on with me at the moment.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?
