Is it normal to have cramps now?

I've read the booklet, but I'd love to hear what real peoples experiences were in the days following insertion.

I had very mild tummy cramps for about half an hour after and a little bit of bleeding which had stopped this morning.

I now have a a tiny amount of spotting and some cramping.

I've just got in and was bursting for a wee, when I nipped to the loo and for a few minutes after, the cramping was quite bad.

Can a full bladder irritate things? What else can I expect and how would I know if things weren't right? I'm worried now about perforation!

From my experience what you are going through sounds normal. You may need painkillers for a few days for the cramping. It feels like very early labour pain doesn't it? I remember coming home and opening a bottle of wine immediately...

hi I had my coil fitted 5 days ago...about a hr or so after it being fitted i started to get cramps which felt like early stages of labor that lasted about 5hrs then the next day was just light what felt like period pains and had no cramps for 3 days. I had bloating for the 2 days that I had cramps and also had to keep going for a wee all the time...thats not stopped and all back to normal :) x

After i had my first coil fitted I had horrendous cramps for 2-3 days then mild on/off cramps for nearly two weeks with spotting.

Got my second one in last Monday and was in a lot of pain all day and night but then just on/off cramps until today really. No spotting this time.

Is this your first one I take it? Have u had children?

I had my first one fitted today and I am bleeding quite a bit. Earlier I passed quite a large fibrous clot and now cramping bad. The doc said id be a little uncomfortable but are my symptoms "normal"?
