Periods getting closer together

I'm 26, my periods have always been reliably 28-30 days apart but for the past 2 months they've been 22 and 23 days apart and a bit lighter. Why is this?

Are you on hormonal contraception? Either way I have no idea but that can change a cycle so potentially that's why

All kinds of reasons - see a GP. (Have had this myself, GP didn't necessarily get to the root cause but tested for a few things in the process.)
