What type of birth control do you use and why?

I got pg on the pill and ever since I have had a mirena (except when ttc dc2) . But I'm beginning to think it's causing me a lot of bother . Pelvic pain , recurring thrush and mood swings . I have put up with these things as I swear by the mirena as a form of birth control , but surely there must be something else out there for me ?

I'm about 4st overweight now as well so I don't even think I would be prescribed the pillSad

Would you consider a permanent method, or do you think you might want more DC?

No it's 50/50 that we may have a third dc . (Well it's 100% dh would but I'm a bit more practicalGrin)

Would you be open to a more natural method. Tracking your fertility and then using a barrier contraceptive while you are fertile (only about 5-7 days out of the month) is a great option. I feel horrible with any type of hormonal birth control, so this is what I do.

I also use a great device called Cyclotest to make the tracking easier. Got a lot of information on this site ethicalfamilyplanning.com.

Check out Cyclotest/NFP/FAm if your interested, and feel free to ask me for more info.
