5weeks gone and no symptoms.

Hey mummies,
I'm asking for some advice. I'm currently 5week 1 day pregnant and so desperately excited. I am experiencing absolutely no symptoms. None whatsoever. Last night, I bled a little after sex and today I'm spotting a light brown discharge.
Should it demand an early scan or just sit tight and wait?? I am managing to convince myself that this is a miscarriage already

All of that sounds perfectly normal to me. The spotting would be related to the post-sex bleed. I had no symptoms that early either.

Don't wait worrying as this won't help you or baby. Do speak to your GP about the bleeding, chances are they'll book you an early scan for reassurance. I bled early on and had 2 early scans as they weren't sure if baby was growing properly. Luckily all was well. The nurse told me bleeding at any time in pregnancy is NOT normal, but is VERY common and does not mean you will miscarry.
I didn't really have any symptoms then woke up at exactly 6 weeks pregnant and it was like someone had flipped a nausea switch on overnight. It lasted day and night until about 11 weeks so be happy you don't have symptoms! You might be one of the lucky ones that sail through it all! Hope all is well.

Hi I have had two pregnancies and bled both times at around this time. Scary stuff I know, but it was fine, now a DS and DD keeping me busy. No harm in asking for a scan but sometimes at this stage it can cause more anxiety - both of mine had no heartbeat at 6 week scan, spent the next couple of weeks terrified only to have next scan at about 8 weeks - all fine. Also I had no symptoms, suddenly hit with morning sickness with dd at about 7 weeks in a split second, came in waves, sometimes felt ok sometimes awful xx

Nearly 19 weeks with dc2 and totally symptomless still!
