I've always had very painful and heavy periods. I've been with my dp nearly 6 years and been on microgynon for most of that time, and that controlled my periods the majority of the time. Last year we decided to ttc, so I stopped taking the pill and had a period. I knew this wasn't like a 'real' period, but 2 weeks later I discovered I was pg. I had dd 4 months ago and started taking cerezette about 1 1/2 months ago. I didnt have a period before taking the pill, but my gp said this was fine so I took the pill and had a period about the 3rd week in that lasted nearly 2 weeks and nearly floored me with the pain. I put this down to not having one for 3 months, but now my period is starting again! Is this purely down to my body adjusting to the pill? I never had this with microgynon but I accept that cerezette is different so maybe it might just take a while? My periods also seem to be more painful now so is this worth mentioning to my gp or just the consequence of having a baby and my body being a bit different now?
