implanon / nexplanon

Has anyone had different experiences of the two? I had the implanon fitted around 4 years ago and had it in over 2 years, it was brilliant and I only had it take out when trying to conceive. Around a year after my daughter was born I went back to the doctor to have it again and this time got nexplanon, I only realised it was a different version after it had been fitted and I was given a card saying 'nexplanon'. I have had it nearly a year now and have terrible bad moods, feel really depressed, almost constant periods and have put on 2 stone in weight. I know both have mixed reviews and different people have different reactions but I assumed if it had been ok the first time It would be the same again? Has anyone else had a similar experience to me or am I just looking for an excuse for my weight gain and crabbiness!
