I'm due to have my Mirena coil replaced in March. I've got on really well with it, and as there's no chance of DH having a vasectomy, I'm going to need to need to sort it out! So what I'd like to know is: is it any more traumatic than having it done the first time? Do they take the old one out and replace it with a new one at the same time? Can't say as I'm looking forward to it, but I don't really have any other option (I get very bad migraines, and I need a very reliable form of contraception - my ds1 has Spina Bifida, and an accidental pregnancy could result in another baby with SB).
Thanks in advance for any advice
