Feeling nauseous all the time - could it be the pill?

I have been taking microgynon for about 4 years. I used to take it in the evening for a year or two and never really had any problems with it. I then switched to taking it in the mornings about 2.5 years ago (less likely to forget then!) but I did notice that after my week break I would start a new pack on the Monday and then on the Tuesday morning, between 11-1, I wetld suddenly feel really nauseous, often feeling shaky, pale, and would often vomit bile a few times. any smell at all would trigger me vomiting (I was always in work and would have to sit there with my nose in a glass of water as it was the only smell I could tolerate! looked weird I'm sure!). It would usually pass after about an hour or so.

My mum thought it might be because I was taking the pill on an empty stomach, but it was only ever this second pill of the pack that was the problem, is it stronger or anything? I started running my scalp back to back so I didn't have that week break and that seemed to work well, but anytime I did have a break the same thing would happen

Over the last year or so I have noticed me becoming more and more nauseous at all times. the simplest thing has me dry-heaving Blush eg the smell of coffee, the smell of cigarettes, the smell of urine, sometimes even the sight of these things. I can't kiss my DP in the morning before teeth are brushed (he doesn't have bad breath or anything and he's a bit offended!!). My 4 year old nephew wanted me to take him to the toilet so he could have a wee, I stood at the door wretching covering my face with my hair so I didn't upset him, but I couldn't see or smell anything so I don't know what was triggering it. I never used to be like that. Sometimes even just the smell of a warm room starts me off.

Has anyone ever heard of the pill making this happen? could there be a link?

You need to see your doctor. It's more likely to be your gallbladder or something like that. My chronic nausea turned out to be threadworms Blush

Oh God Sad

Thanks for your reply, I think I should do some research. It hadn't even occurred to me it could be something unrelated.

I was going to start a thread asking the same thing.
I've only been on the pill 3 months but I feel like I've got mild early pregnancy symptoms. Nowhere near as bad as I had while pregnant but I'm also feeling sick after certain smells and sometimes just thinking about certain food. No answers I'm afraid!
