Mirena - Post-removal bleed

I have a very irrational but VERY big phobia of bleeding. I get the shakes, queue major panic attack. So I'm terrified of the bleeding after coil removal. I've been told its like a car crash. Please can someone calm me down :-(

Me too... I'm having mine out next week. Is the bleeding horrendous? Can you use tampons straight after removal??

I've had 2 removed and can't remember car-crash bleeding. I'm sure I would've if it had happened.

I've had coils twice and removal was incredibly quick, painless and I had only the tiniest amount of spotting after one and nothing at all after the other. Panic not!
