Stopping Period at the last minute

Hi there,

Apologies if this subject has been posted about many times but although I'm a regular M'netter I have never looked at this section before.

Does anyone know if GP can give me anything to stop my period starting when its due in probably 24 hours?

I use Norestithelone to prevent periods during eg camping holidays, I think it would work up to a few hours before start of period, but I'm not a doctor - and my gp wanted to check I was suitable so you'd have to see her before getting a prescription, ie time is not on your side.

Crikey its hard enough to get an appointment with my GP when you are ill, I would feel a bit guilty seeing him for just that.

Thanks for that though, I shall ring first thing and see if I can get a telephone appointment.
