I've got a copper coil at the moment and have no problems with it apart from extremely heavy and long periods. I'm considering changing to mirena as I've heard periods tend to be light to non existent with it. I shied away from it in the first place as I didn't want anything with hormones as I felt my hormones were just settling down anyway after pregnancy so was just wondering if anyone has experienced any side-eiffects that could be attributed to hormones with mirena e.g. mood swings, weight gain?
