I had mine taken out 18 months ago. It was so quick and easy I didnt even know when it had been taken out! Seriously, lots less bother than putting it in , not even uncomfortable like a smear. Well, that was my experience at least!

Ooo good to hear. Did you have a carnage bleed afterwards?

It should be no more hassle then when it went in! should be - i had a slightly different experience as im a bit of a slack alice, down there and the dr couldn't see my cervix (which is a bit tilted) and it turned into quite a performance involving me putting my fists under my bottom, a condom and eventually a referal to a family planning specialist who took it out under sedation (why i needed sedation i really don't know). But it was just a palava, not painful at all. I would imagine that is worse case scenario. The specialist had it out and another one in, in less than a minute.
