4 Days after Mirena Coil, normal reaction???

I went to the Gynae as my doctor thought I had endometriosis. Basically I thought I had all the symptoms after looking it up. The Gynae didn't rule it out but thought it was more likely I just had bad periods. She said the Merina coil would be the perfect solution to stop the hormones then the pains would go away.

Anyway, I had it in on Tuesday and it didn't hurt and a tiny cramp after but not bad. Yesterday I started feeling tired, and felt a bit achy in the bones but thought I was getting a cold.

Today I feel really weak, my lower back aches, my vagina feels like its going to fall out, my eyes keep going really blurry and I keep getting cramps in what I assume is the area where my ovaries are. I also feel really naucious and my palms are sweating but I don't have a temperature. The pain is nothing compared with what my body has been through in the past, but the weakness and blurry eyes is making it hard to function.

I've googled but can't find anything relevant and my eyes are making it hard to look at so many websites.

Is this normal?

Hope you are feeling better OP.

It doesn't sound normal. I had mirena inserted and didn't enjoy it, but didn't react like you did. I would speak to the doctor, if you haven't already.

Does not sound right. You need to get yourself checked, but PLEASE do not just take it as read when they tell you (and they will tell you) that the mirena isn't causing this.

Read this. This website was instrumental in me having mine out after just 4 weeks. Something the dr refused to do (because it costs so much, they hate to waste it, I was told). I had to pay a sexual health clinic to take mine out. I had an infection. 3 different of antibiotics it took, to shift it. Sorry to say that it did leave me feeling ovulation for the first time in my life. But that seems to have settled a little & isn't as painful as it used to be.

Thanks, things have got quite allot better.

Still getting pins and needles in my fingers in the morning but no more numbness. Also still getting a bit naughtious at times too and my hands are permanently hot. I'm also really tired and moody.

Thanks for the link, off to read it now.

I've read so much terrifying stuff about mirena in the last few days, I think I may have it removed soon. I didn't read anything before I had it in as I'd previously been told the coil wouldn't work on me as my cervix was so ripped.
