Time has come (5 years on) to get my copper coil removed/replaced. After googling about what 'removal' might be like, I discovered lots of interesting discussions about side effects ... specifically weight gain. I am intrigued as I have been piling on the pounds over the last few years and putting it down to age. Now wondering if the coil might be to blame. Other symptoms (e.g., very light periods) seem to be more consistent with the merina coil .... but I'm sure I have the non-hormonal one. Would love to hear from anyone with similar experiences or anything to add.
