mirena coil

Have had the mirena coil now for nearly 5 years and am fed up with migraines with my monthly cycle. The doctor says it is not the coil but I am not so sure. Does anyone know if migraines are a common symptom. I have always had migraines but they have got worse but it could be my age ( 46).
The only thing good about the coil is the light bleeding as they were always very heavy before.

On net doctor website it says use with caution if you have a history of migraines - so it could well be the coil. The only way to find out I guess is to to have it removed and see. You could always have it refuted at some point if it turns out to be unrelated...
